Sunday School
Classes with its NEW FORMAT for preschool – 8th grade students
takes place each Sunday morning at 9:15 am in the Fellowship Hall. This
fall season, our bible stories will focus on the miracles of Jesus. We are
excited about exploring the bible stories in depth to grow and learn through
our many “learning stations”…..art, computers, drama, food, games,
music, puppets, science, storytelling and DVD! Invite
someone to Sunday School today!!!!
Small Groups are now beginning to form – let’s
all “COMMIT TO CONNECT” by taking part in a Small Group for
the initial six-week pilot program. This effort to form Small Groups is
intended to form and strengthen the connections that we feel between one
another, and in doing so, deepen our connection to the living God as we live
out our faith in this community called First English. This isn’t
another committee, Bible Study or task group – but gatherings of people who
share some similar life situations for the purpose of connecting with each
other and sharing the journey of faith as another expression of the “Body of
Christ”.
We are excited to see where this ministry effort will go
– which is really up to each group and the members of each group! Just
take this initial six weeks to determine whether or not you find the Small
Group experience to be nourishing and beneficial to your faith journey!
If it’s not for you…you can step away with no strings attached or guilt
feelings! Those who wish to continue on in the small group setting will
define what the next chapter of their life together will look like –
deciding together on schedule of gatherings, content to explore, purpose and
mission, and the like! Please – COMMIT TO CONNECT today! If you have any questions,
or would like to express your interest in participating in Small Group
ministry, don’t hesitate to call Pastor Brian or the church office!

Our “Small
Group Prayer” Ministry Team meets every Monday, from 12:30 to approximately
1:30. We pray for specific needs raised within the community and
around the world, those listed in the weekly announcements on the blue prayer
page and also the blue prayer cards collected
on Saturday evening or Sunday morning during the worship services.
You are surely welcome to join us! We begin in the Conference Room and then spend prayer time in the Chapel.
Personal, daily prayer: Of course, none of
these should replace anyones daily, private prayer time! This goes without saying, but is offered as an
encouragement for each of us to set aside time every day to fulfill our call to care for
and serve one another.
